Physical Therapist I: Per Diem Days, Late Afternoon, or Evenings, MMC IP

Are you an experienced inpatient Physical Therapist who is looking for a per diem opportunity in Nationally Recognized Hospital?  If so, Atlantic Health is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist for the Inpatient PT Department at Morristown Medical Center that will provide their time and expertise on various weekdays in the evenings (flexible start time  to be after 1p) and for at least two weekend days per month. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who will provide exceptional care to our patients. 


Principal Accountabilities:
Essential functions include patient evaluation, establishing plans of care and treatment programs, providing interventions, providing patient and family education, documenting interventions, and billing appropriately.  Supports Lead Clinicians in competency development and implementation.  Participates in the orientation of new staff members, serves as a clinical instructor for students, exercises independent judgement of moderately complex cases and with minimal to no supervision.

Qualifications

Required:

1. New Jersey License to practice Physical Therapy.

2. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program

3. This position requires safe patient handling.  Must be able to provide patients with needed support during transitions, transfers, ambulation, stairs and other activities.  In the event of an unanticipated situation, must be able to safely lower the patient to the floor. May involve pushing/pulling and/or carrying rehabilitation equipment and supplies

Preferred:

1. Preference given to candidates with weekend and weekday availability.
2. 2-5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and Experience in Acute Care in large academic medical setting
