Medical Assistant / CVFM - Mountain View / Full Time

Summary of Performance Expectations:

Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image by efficiently performing a wide variety of clinical and administrative duties to medical office outpatients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed Advanced Practice Provider (APP) .  Serves as an important role on the care team to assist the physician or mid-level provider with outcome based patient care. Utilizes a team based approach to all tasks.

Education & Credentials:

Required

High School diploma or equivalent. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.

Work Experience:

Required

One year of experience in a healthcare setting performing clinical responsibilities using an electronic health record system (EHR). Telemedicine experience may be considered as clinical duties. If no experience, must be enrolled in classes related to the medical field or have completed a successful internship.

OR

Either NA1 or NA2 (if NA2 must maintain valid NA1 listing)

• Nurse Aide I:    Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services. 
• Nurse Aide II:  Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services and the NC Board of Nursing. 

Given training and on-the job experience, incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of job within three months of employment date.

Five or more years of experience in a healthcare setting functioning in an area with clinical responsibilities using an Electronic Health Record system (EHR).
