Medical Office Receptionist-Lead

Under minimal supervision, responsible for providing clinical office support to ensure patient satisfaction. Works closely with and mentors clinical staff and provider staff through the focus on front desk processes for two or more clinics, functioning as a lead for all front desk activities.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates the clerical work of the unit to ensure proper work flow.
• Performs all front office duties, checking in patients, ensuring completion of all necessary forms for registration, collecting co-pays, assisting patients when needed, and answering phones.
• Schedules patient appointments and follows up on missed appointments by telephone or mail.
• Obtains medical records or retrieves records through the use of a computer for accuracy.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma is required.
